Ilona Kotlewska-Waś, Ph.D.

Neuroscientist and neuropsychologist. She received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of Polish Academy of Science in Warsaw. She was awarded the Fulbright Junior Advanced Research Award for the year 2017-2018 at the Center for Cognitive Sciences at Dartmouth College (NH, USA), where she gained experience in computational methods in brain imaging and data analysis. Students confirm her excellent teaching skills at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where she thought new methods of analysis after completing the Fulbright grant. Currently she is involved in studies of attention in human brain at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and runs her own scientific grant investigating the neurobiological basis of ownership at NCU.
