Software Engineering Manager, Google Cloud Platform
Jelena Pješivac-Grbović is an engineering manager and tech lead in Data Analytics at Google. Her passion is developing and deploying data processing solutions that matter. She is a senior leader in Data Processing Languages and Systems group, a team focused on both Google-internal and Google Cloud Platform data analysis solutions: MapReduce, Flume, and Google Cloud Dataflow. In addition to her technical interests, she is passionate about building healthy, effective, and adaptive teams, and actively contributes to manager education at Google.
Prior to joining the company, she received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville focusing on automatic and adaptive optimizations of MPI collective operations, under the guidance of Jack J. Dongarra. She holds bachelor's degrees in computer science and physics from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
