Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science
Tomasz Jurdzinski is the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Wrocław. He has also served as a Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Deputy Head for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Wrocław. In 2000-2005 he spent over 3 years in Germany as a Postdoc working on the research projects funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). In 2011-12 he was at University of Liverpool as a Researcher in EPSRC research project.
His research interests are in the areas of distributed and parallel computing, algorithms for wireless networks, applications of automata theory and formal languages. He has lead National Science Centre (Poland) and Ministry of Science research projects on applications of automata theory, development of algorithms for wireless and sensor networks as well as passive parallel computing.
