Head of Global Electronics Competencies Centre
Tony Jenkins is the Head of Global Electronics Competence Center in Electrolux. In this position he is responsible for the electronic controls strategy in the company across all product lines and continuous improvement in ways of working regarding electronics development. His primary degree is a BS in Nuclear Engineering with a secondary degree in Electrical Engineering.
Tony has been developing embedded control systems for the appliance industry since 1998, starting at Whirpool Corporation in Dayton, Ohio and joining Electrolux in 2010. He has specialized in various positions including hardware engineer, software engineer, systems engineer, project leader, Electromagnetic Compatibility Lab Manager, Director of Microwave Technology and Director of Electronics Technology. Prior to joining the appliance industry Tony served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator. He is also a Six Sigma Black belt and currently holds 29 US patents related to control systems algorithms, sensors, and electronic circuit designs.
