Test automation is supposed to make life easier: reduce manual work, catch bugs faster, give the team confidence before every release. So why does it so often end up as something slow, fragile and that nobody wants to use?Today writing code and generating tests is becoming easier than ever. But having more tests does not automatically mean having better automation.In this talk I will share what I have learned across real projects: how certain decisions turn automation into a waste of time, what good automation actually looks like in practice, and what it really takes to make it valuable for the whole team.
