Kurt VandenBussche is Vice President for Technology Strategy and Innovation in Honeywell Aerospace’s CTO organization, leading long‑term technology strategy and global engagement with academia and venture ecosystems. He holds a Master’s and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ghent and began his career at Shell R&D in Amsterdam. He later joined Honeywell PMT/UOP, specializing in digital twins for natural gas, petrochemicals, and sustainable fuels, and progressed through technical and leadership roles to oversee all new technology development across PMT/UOP.
Since moving to the Aerospace CTO in 2021, he has also advanced Honeywell’s involvement in Arizona’s technology ecosystem and serves on the Board of the Arizona Technology Council. Kurt has acted as guest editor for Wiley‑VCH, holds over 100 US patents, and has served in leadership roles within ISCRE and AIChE. He currently sits on the Industrial Advisory Boards for the University of Delaware and University College London.
