Weronika Boguś is a Biochemistry undergraduate at Imperial College London. Her work sits at the intersection of synthetic biology, bioinformatics, and space biotechnology. She is particularly interested in designing biological systems that remain reliable under constrained conditions, combining a strong experimental mindset with a systems-level perspective on biotechnology and astrobiology.
Her research experience spans academic labs in the UK, USA, Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland, where she has contributed to projects in photosystem engineering, archaeal genomics, and microbial systems. Alongside laboratory research, she is also involved in space-biotech-adjacent work, including analogue astronautics and planetary robotics. Across these areas, she has developed an approach centered on robustness, reproducibility, careful documentation, and effective teamwork.
