After graduating from the Nicolaus Copernicus High School in Brzesko, I associated my life and scientific career with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, starting with my master's degree, through doctoral studies and obtaining a doctoral degree in chemical sciences in 2003, until today. In 2019, I received a postdoctoral degree in science, specialty - chemical sciences. I am interested in issues related to imine systems, coordination compounds of copper, zinc or silver, among others, luminescence phenomena, OLEDs and sensory systems. I am the supervisor of 35 bachelor's, master's and engineering theses. Currently, there are two doctoral students under my supervision from the Doctoral School of Natural Sciences Academia Scientiarum Thoruniensis AST and Academia Copernicana.
