Dr Ewelina Kaatz-Drzeżdżon is an expert in secure satellite communications, cybersecurity, and operational resilience at the Polish Space Agency, where she has worked since 2020. She has implemented EU-funded projects at the Agency – GEXTRECS and ENTRUSTED, aimed at advancing the uptake of governmental satellite communication services by key public-sector users. She is also an Alternate Delegate to the European Space Agency’s Joint Board on the Communication Satellite Programme (JCB) and Chair of the Space Systems for Safety and Security (4S) Advisory Board.
Earlier in her career, she specialised in sustainable development and environmental finance, overseeing infrastructure projects in water purification and wastewater treatment at the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Gdańsk, while contributing to international R&D initiatives in waste management and the circular economy. She holds a PhD in sustainable construction from the University of Cape Town.
