I started my career in IT while studying Computer Science at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. After graduation in 2003, I worked as a scientific assistant and taught students at a private university, while also contributing to EU projects to build an e-learning platform across several EU countries. This gave me valuable experience in working with diverse teams and communicating progress to international stakeholders.
After taking time to focus on being a mum, I returned to IT as a software engineer (working for several smaller companies) and gradually grew into leadership roles, becoming a Team Lead and later an Engineering Manager at Schibsted Tech in Krakow. In 2017, I relocated to the UK when Schibsted opened a London office. Since then, I’ve held engineering leadership roles at Moo, Rocket Lawyer, Gousto, and now Tesco Technology.
In every role, I’ve learned new things, championed Agile ways of working, and supported, mentored, and coached women and men 🙂. I am proud to have left each team stronger, more collaborative, and better prepared for the future.
