Paulina Assmann

Paulina Assmann holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Concepción and the University of Leicester. She is the co-founder and CEO of Sequre Quantum, the first quantum technology company in Latin America, where she leads the translation of quantum science into market-ready cybersecurity solutions. Her work focuses on business development, technology transfer, and strategic growth at the intersection of science and industry.
With over eight years of experience across academia, government, and the private sector, Paulina has led high-impact innovation initiatives at national and international levels. She was recognized as one of the Global 100 leaders in quantum technologies by UNESCO.
Previously, she served as Associate Director of the OO.II NAOC-CAS in Chile and as Regional Secretary (Seremi) of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation for Chile’s Central-South Macrozone, coordinating initiatives such as the ASMAR mechanical ventilator during the COVID-19 pandemic and a wastewater-based surveillance system for SARS-CoV-2 and illicit drugs that remains part of global monitoring networks.
