Anna Skorek-Osikowska is a Professor at the Silesian University of Technology.
Her research focuses on energy transition pathways, energy systems modelling, techno-economic and life-cycle assessment, industrial decarbonization, CCUS, renewable fuels, energy storage, and district heating.
She leads the Net-Zero Poland project, developing pathways for Poland to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, and chairs the TrANsMIT COST Action on techno-economic analysis of carbon mitigation technologies. She also coordinates SUT’s involvement in a Horizon Europe project on industrial CO₂ conversion. Prof. Skorek-Osikowska has gained international research experience at Princeton University (Fulbright STEM Impact Award), Fundación IMDEA Energía (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Fellowship), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and the Technical University of Denmark. She collaborates closely with industry, is co-author of patents on CO₂- and hydrogen-based energy storage, and has published extensively in leading energy journals.
