Zuzanna Kamykowska is an economist, art historian and PhD candidate at the Krakow University of Economics, specializing in the art market and investing in art. In her research, she analyses the factors influencing artwork prices on the Chinese auction market, combining an economic perspective with expertise in art history.
She is interested in art as a form of capital: cultural, social and financial. She explains how the auction market works, what builds the value of an artwork, and why art can be an important part of the conversation about wealth diversification and long-term investing. She is also the founder and leader of the Science Connect Foundation, where she develops educational and science communication projects that bring together science, art, financial education and cultural diversity. Her mission is to show that expert knowledge can be practical, accessible and inspiring — even when it concerns topics as unconventional as investing in art.
