Physicist

CERN

Dr. Maja Maćkowiak-Pawłowska is a physicist affiliated with the Warsaw University of Technology and a member of the international NA61/SHINE collaboration at CERN. Her research interests focus on the physics of heavy-ion collisions and the study of the structure of strongly interacting matter, with particular emphasis on the properties of the phase transition between hadronic matter and quark-gluon plasma. Her work analyzes fluctuations and correlations in relativistic collisions and investigates signals of new phenomena characteristic of strong interactions using CERN's infrastructure. She is also involved in teaching, organizing scientific events, and popularizing physics.
