Agnieszka Syntfeld-Każuch, PhD, is a senior scientific researcher in the Department of Nuclear Techniques and Equipment at the National Centre for Nuclear Research, Poland. She holds the position of adjunct and head of the Radiation Detectors and Plasma Diagnostics Division. She gained her PhD in nuclear physics at the University of Warsaw, Poland. Since 2003, she has conducted research on scintillation materials, neutron detection, and X-ray and gamma spectroscopy in applications in border monitoring, special nuclear materials detection, radiation discrimination in mixed fields and nuclear medicine. She was a project manager of several R&D projects and a mentor to young generation scientists. She is an author or co-author of more than 100 scientific papers.
