Paulina Tomaszewska is a Senior Research Scientist at Samsung AI Center, specializing in AI safety and alignment, with an emphasis on Large Language Models. She is also a PhD candidate at Warsaw University of Technology. Her research explores the role of spatial and temporal context in deep learning models, with a particular interest in the explainability of models used in digital pathology. She has gained international research experience through academic stays in Singapore, South Korea, Austria, and Switzerland.
Paulina is also actively involved in promoting AI education among high school students. Since the launch of the Polish AI Olympiad, she has served on its Scientific Committee, including as Vice-Chair and Chair. After nearly three editions, she stepped down due to a conflict of interest to join the International Scientific Committee of the International Olympiad in AI.
